Portal Development Services to the Bureau of Engraving and Printing
Orizon provides programming and analytical support for web development for the Bureau
of Engraving and Printing (BEP). These services include systems analysis; software application
programming; software development and maintenance support; software integration;
database design, development, and administration support; training; information/data
processing support; and web-based enhancements.
Orizon also provides assistance to the BEP in converting application systems from
one computing platform to another (e.g., Mainframe to Web, PC to Web, Client Server
to Web). Significant accomplishments to date have included:
- Implementation of Microsoft.NET and Remedy-based application enhancement and development.
- Creation of a development process, which is compliant with Capability Maturity Model
Integration (CMMI) and Project Management Institute (PMI) best practices.
- Building a testing environment for integration, system, quality assurance, and User
Acceptance Testing separate from the production environment.
- Improving the conduct of business analyses and documentation of requirements.
