Database and Release Management Support to the Department of Housing and Urban Development
The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Multifamily Housing Integration
(MFHI) project provides database management and release management support for software
and database upgrades that impact the Housing Enterprise Real Estate Management
System (HEREMS) database. This database is also referred to as the MFH Enterprise
Database as it is a shared environment where all Multifamily Housing systems store
their data. The Orizon MFHI team works with Multifamily maintenance and development
teams to implement code, database, infrastructure and security changes to support
system and the HUD Enterprise Architecture (EA) requirements.
The MFHI project staff facilitates the resolution of cross-project business and
technical issues that affect the integration of all systems that maintain or use
the MFH Enterprise Database, and serves as the point of contact between HUD's internet
services administration and computer and database system services groups. Orizon
provides expertise in Sybase, ColdFusion, Erwin, PVCS configuration management and
other technologies as well as the HUD Application Release Tracking System (HARTS).
The MFHI team facilitated and supported the MFH systems' most complex HUD infrastructure
release in 2004 that included new web authentication and security features database
and assisted in the coordination of verification and validation testing for several
Multifamily systems in support of the new HUD infrastructure and network support
(HITS III) contract.
