08-27-08 Orizon awarded a contract to assist the General Services Administration (GSA)

Orizon was recently awarded a two- year contract to assist the General Services Administration (GSA) to improve the current publication system for generating, managing, and tracking the details of the Federal Citizen Information Center (FCIC) Consumer Information Catalog. For over 35 years, the FCIC has been a trusted one-stop source for answers to questions about consumer problems and government services. FCIC produces the Consumer Information Catalog, which is distributed and promoted through their website (http://www.pueblo.gsa.gov). It is published four times a year and contains descriptive listings of free or low-cost Federal publications.

As part of the effort, Orizon will develop the new publication system for a web based platform using leading and robust database, reporting, and development tools. The new system will provide GSA with advanced functionality; improve current catalog generation and analytical capabilities; and provide the government with automated bi-directional data interfaces to other systems including the order distribution/inventory and order taking systems.
