September 2, 2008 - Orizon Wins at the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)
Orizon won a $12.5 Million contract (with all options and optional tasks exercised)
to provide PeopleSoft/Oracle operations and maintenance support services for EPA’s
PeoplePlus system. This system is the Agency’s official repository for HR data on
employees, positions, and organizations and is the core of human resources activities
that support human capital management.
Orizon’s technical support will include tasks/activities ranging from ensuring a
smooth transition from the current contractor, ensuring the availability and reliability
of the PeoplePlus development environment, completing all efforts to plan analyze,
design, implement and deploy fixes and/or enhancements, providing streamlined support
for the preparation and dissemination of reports management to optional tasks which
may include identifying and implementing activities necessary to ensure a successful
transition of IT systems to a e-Government Human Resources Line of Business (HR
LOB).
This five-year contract marks the company’s first multi-year, competitively awarded
contract at EPA. This contract presents an opportunity to broaden Orizon's reach
and provide quality information technology services to other civilian agencies.
