September 2, 2008 - Orizon Wins at the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)...
Orizon won a $12.5 Million contract (with all options and optional tasks exercised) to provide PeopleSoft/Oracle operations and maintenance support services for EPA’s PeoplePlus system. This system is the Agency’s official repository for HR data on employees, positions, and organizations and is the core of human resources activities that support human capital management. Orizon’s technical support will include tasks/activities ranging from ensuring a smooth transition from the current contractor, ensuring the availability and reliability of the PeoplePlus development environment, completing all efforts to plan analyze, design, implement and deploy fixes and/or enhancements, providing streamlined support for the preparation and dissemination of reports management to optional tasks which may include identifying and implementing activities necessary to ensure a successful transition of IT systems to a e-Government Human Resources Line of Business (HR LOB). This five-year contract marks the company’s first multi-year, competitively awarded contract at EPA. This contract presents an opportunity to broaden Orizon's reach and provide quality information technology services to other civilian agencies.

Orizon awarded a contract to assist the General Services Administration (GSA)...
Orizon was recently awarded a two- year contract to assist the General Services Administration (GSA) to improve the current publication system for generating, managing, and tracking the details of the Federal Citizen Information Center (FCIC) Consumer Information Catalog. For over 35 years, the FCIC has been a trusted one-stop source for answers to questions about consumer problems and government services. FCIC produces the Consumer Information Catalog, which is distributed and promoted through their website (http://www.pueblo.gsa.gov). It is published four times a year and contains descriptive listings of free or low-cost Federal publications. As part of the effort, Orizon will develop the new publication system for a web based platform using leading and robust database, reporting, and development tools. The new system will provide GSA with advanced functionality; improve current catalog generation and analytical capabilities; and provide the government with automated bi-directional data interfaces to other systems including the order distribution/inventory and order taking systems.

DHS Extends Orizon's Human Capital Contract...
The Department of Homeland Security has awarded Orizon a task order to provide strategic planning, policy development, accountability, organizational change management and consultation services for the Office of the Chief Human Capital Officer. Having supported DHS on the creation of their Human Capital Strategic Plan, Orizon is now tasked with assisting in updating the Plan and evaluating the impact of the Plan, including HR system redesigns and service delivery integration, on employees, managers and HR professionals. In addition, Orizon will be involved in program evaluation for strategic, tactical, and operational activities to ensure proper integration of human capital initiatives to achieve desired end states as well as addressing agency action plans in response to objectives of the President's Management Agenda (PMA). Orizon has been supporting DHS since February 2004.

Orizon to Provide Support to the DHS Human Capital Systems Implementation...
Orizon, Inc. of Rockville, MD was awarded a one year prime contract by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) valued at $1 million. Orizon will provide support to the Office of the Chief Human Capital Officer (OCHCO) Human Capital Business Systems (HCBS). The contract provides program management support for the overall consolidation and modernization of the DHS Enterprise HR systems. Tasks will include program management support, instituting a PMO managed IT CPIC process to facilitate project-level requirements, instituting a consolidated requirements management process, establishing business transformation management functions to guide enterprise efforts towards the future state of the DHS environment and establishing communication and marketing functions within the PMO to strengthen current relationships while forging new ones across DHS Headquarters and Components. Orizon has been performing similar work under a previous contract since 2005.

Orizon Awarded Business Service Provider Contract at HUD...
Orizon, Inc. of Rockville, MD was awarded a 3-year, $3.9 million competitive prime contract by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Office of Single Family Asset Management (SFAM). As a Business Service Provider (BSP), Orizon will optimize its current SAS web-based service and infrastructure to provide HUD with a customized business intelligence architecture to analyze and manage Federal Housing Administration (FHA) single family insured loan data to minimize exposure of the FHA fund against loss. Tasks will include a transition into a web portal with a SAS infrastructure, analyze and modify existing statistical reports, provide data security with multiple levels of access and provide training for the user community. The work will be performed in Rockville, MD and Oklahoma City, OK. Under the MOBIS schedule, Orizon will provide strategic, business and action planning; process and productivity improvement; organizational assessments and other mission oriented business functions.

GSA Federal Acquisition Service Expands Orizon Support...
Orizon, Inc. was awarded a prime contract by the General Services Administration Federal Acquisition Service (GSA FAS) Office of the Chief Information Officer in June 2007 valued at $800K and was expanded in September 2007 to provide technical support for the centrally managed and administered FAS, Willow Wood Plaza and Central Office region. The support services under the 5 year contract, with a potential value of $5.6 million assuming all options are exercised, include Lotus Notes/Domino and related system application development, general support and administration of these environments as well as general support, administration of, new implementations and on-going operation of the GSA Lotus Notes/Domino groupware, databases, and related application environments to future releases. Orizon has been providing support to the GSA since 2002.

Orizon Continues State Department Support
Orizon, Inc. of Rockville, MD was awarded a 3 year prime contract by the State Department with a potential value of $2.5 million to support the Information Resource Management (IRM) Planning Office in its role of Enterprise system and network technology planning and to provide program management and administrative support directly to the IRM Planning Office. Tasks will include estimating planning, development, deployment, and other life-cycle costs, determining performance-related requirements, preparing technical presentations, and forecasting demand placed on information technology systems and networks among other scheduling, coordinating and monitoring of planning office activities.

Orizon expands support to NASA...
Orizon has been awarded a contract to expand its support to the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Office of Human Capital Management (OHCM) by populating the new agency workforce services portal with current and relevant human capital information. With our strategic partner, Hemsley Fraser, Orizon will populate the website with information to assist managers/supervisors, employees, and Human Resource staffs on federal/agency wide personnel policies, regulations, and related materials. Services to be performed include:

NASA Aawards Contract to Orizon for HR Training...
Orizon was recently awarded a contract by NASA's Office of Human Capital Management, Workforce Management and Development Division to develop a corporate personnel management course for first line supervisors. In partnership with Hemsley Fraser, Orizon will develop a training course covering a broad range of federal and NASA specific personnel management topics, which will provide government supervisors with practical tools to effectively manage subordinates. The initial contract is for a pilot course to be delivered in June 2007 and it is anticipated future courses will follow.

Orizon Continues Support for HUD MultiFamily Housing Integration...
Department of Housing and Urban Development officials recently awarded Orizon Inc. a multi-year contract worth $3.5 million. Under this contract, Orizon will be providing maintenance and development support for the Multifamily Housing Integration (MFHI) project. Orizon will provide database management and release management support for software releases that impact the Housing Enterprise Real Estate Management System (HEREMS) database. The Housing Enterprise Real Estate Management System (HEREMS) database provides information to support various functions involving multifamily programs, such as enforcement activities and real estate assessment. The MFHI project facilitates the resolution of cross-project business and technical issues that effect the integration of all systems that maintain or use the MFH Enterprise Database. Orizon was originally awarded a two-year, $2.5 million contract for this work in October 2004.
